Editorial Illustrations
The client:
OCEANA is a non-profit organization with an international presence that focuses on ocean environmental issues. Their focus is on carrying out policy campaigns grounded in scientific research.
The objective:
OCEANA Mexico commissioned me to create a design for the cover of their notebook. The design features stylized images of whales and sharks endemic to Mexico.
The solution:
The illustration’s background represents the cycle of life, which aligns with the client’s dedication to ocean conservation advocacy.

Illustrations for Web
The client:
Floralia Nature was an online encyclopedia with information about plant species, colours, flowering periods and tips on how to care for them.
The objective:
The main goal was to gain followers on social media platforms by posting daily information and illustrations about plants.
The solution:
I made a set of hand-drawn illustrations specific to the encyclopedia’s audience to showcase each plant on social media daily.
Infographics for Web
The client:
Clearleaf Labs is a startup committed to offering high-quality and pure extracts of cannabidiol.
The objective:
We aimed to produce captivating visuals that effectively convey detailed information.
The solution:
This infographic displays CB receptors’ location and distribution throughout the human body. I used brighter colours to distinguish the receptor organs and maintain consistency with the brand’s colour palette.
Infographics for Social Media
The client:
FUNDAR is a non-profit organization that advocates for justice and human rights through litigation and strategic communication.
The objective:
The graphics requested by the client were to provide contextual information on the MeTooMexico feminist movement. The objective was to enable productive discussions on the #MeTooMexico movement with researched data.
The solution:
I used a colour palette commonly associated with the feminist movement to design graphics that depict why victims tend to remain quiet and the significance of empathy and a support system.
Brand and label illustrations
The client:
Pips & Stones is a Melbourne-based business dedicated to crafting homemade and artisanal preserves.
The objective:
The client asked for a logo that gives off a rustic, homemade feel, incorporating the fruits they use in their preserves and flowers native to Australia.
The solution:
I created a series of illustrations depicting the different fruits and flowers, keeping a rustic aesthetic.

Editorial Illustrations
The client:

The Gato X Liebre 2.0 campaign is a thorough investigation into species substitution and the impact of seafood fraud on oceans, fishermen, and consumers. A visual component was necessary to support the research.
The solution:
I created illustrations of thirteen fish species referenced in the study. Maintaining a precise aesthetic was crucial as most of the client’s followers and supporters are experts in the field.

Editorial Illustrations
The objective:
OCEANA conducted a special edition of Gato X Liebre, which investigated the shark species that are being sold to Mexican consumers as fish. Similar to their previous project, the research required a visual component.
The solution:
I created illustrations of eight shark species mentioned in the study. I maintained an accurate aesthetic to cater to the client’s audience, who are primarily experts in the field.

Botanical Illustrations
The client:
The Herbarium of the Faculty of Sciences, UNAM, is the home of more than 115 thousand specimens of vascular plants, fungi and algae.
The objective:
To compile and share the extensive collection of plants available at the Herbarium in a compendium.
The solution:
Among other illustrators, I created a series of botanical drawings of each specimen through observations and research, to make accurate representations.

Scientific illustrations
The client:
The Lepidoptera Collection of the Zoology Museum database aims to generate a list of Mexican butterfly species considered priorities in diversity and conservation analyses.
The objective:
The museum required visual assets for scientific publications since many of the preserved butterfly specimens’ photos were damaged.
The solution:
I created illustrations depicting the external morphology of specimens of Lepidoptera (butterflies). I emphasized essential anatomical elements. Most sketches are in graphite pencils, but the final images were in mixed media.
